Meet Lyndsay

Co-founder of Wellrado

Where did you grow up?

I am a Colorado native! I was born in Sterling, CO where I lived until I was about 7. We then moved to the front range where I grew up in Mead and also attended high school in Longmont. I went on to attend CU Denver and lived in Fort Collins briefly following college until I moved back to Sterling almost 10 years ago. While I loved growing up on the front range, I am a small town girl at heart and love living back out here!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

In my free time, I love spending time with my five year old daughter, friends and family and absolutely love staying active and being outdoors. I currently have a diverse fitness routine and enjoy doing PVOLVE, running, HIIT workout classes and playing tennis. When the weather allows, I also love golfing (although I am not very good), paddle boarding and recently decided to try snowboarding again. I also enjoy taking my camera along and attempting to capture some cool pictures. I love listening to music and listen to it most hours of the day; my sister and I are always going to concerts! My absolute favorite form of therapy is going on my favorite long drive and watching the sunrise or sunset— kind of cheesy, I know. You can also catch Elsie and I hanging out with our three dogs.

What are your daily non negotiables?

My daily non negotiables are truly the simple things! Waking up at an early time, focusing on eating a clean, whole food diet, staying active, getting fresh air, making it a point to be social in some form and being aware of my sleep habits. All of these are foundational and highly set the tone of my day. When I prioritize these— I am the best version of myself. I find myself in a better mood overall, I have more energy, more motivation and can focus easier. By implementing these rhythms into my routine, it has made it easier to further my health and wellness habits! I notice when I stray away from this path, I am more easily stressed, overwhelmed and reactive. Investing time in these small but mighty habits can truly be life changing!

What are your top 3 “can’t live without” products?

My top 3 products are easily beef tallow, the Lumebox and my Oura ring.

  1. Beef tallow has drastically changed both mine and my daughter’s skin for the better. Since Elsie was a baby, she has suffered from a severe eczema like rash to the point where she has scars from scratching. I tried several different non toxic lotions, creams and bodycare products on her and nothing was helping. Along with adding Vitamin C tablets into her bath water, I started using beef tallow on her skin. She went from having a severe rash to almost gone in 24 hours. It has saved her skin and is the only thing we use on her. For me personally, beef tallow has been a game changer in my skincare routine. In most of my 20’s I have dealt with mild acne. It has never been severe but I have never had super clear or healthy skin. I have tried endless amounts of products throughout the years and even with more natural product lines, I was not having the best of luck. About 3 or 4 months ago I decided to go cold turkey on all my skincare and have stuck to using the Primally Pure plumping bar, beef tallow and Active Skin spray (antibacterial spray) and have seen the most improvement in my skin in years. Beef tallow makes my skin look and feel so great and I love knowing we are not contributing to more toxins in our body when we use it.

  2. The Lumebox (NIR/infared red light therapy) is one of the most versitle and most used products in our home! Red light therapy has so many benefits and can truly be used for so much. I also love that its safe for children. The most common uses of our Lumebox is for skincare and morning light exposure, relaxing sore muscles or soothing wounds and aiding in sleep.

  3. I truly owe my improvement in my daily health and fitness habits to my Oura ring. I received my ring as a gift for Christmas and utilized it so much during 2024. It made me so much more aware of my activity, stress, sleep and more. I check my Oura app often throughout the day and its been a great tool to hold me accountable in reaching my goals. You can read my full blog post on the Oura ring HERE!

What is your advice for someone starting their wellness journey?

My biggest piece of advice would be to think simple and remember, less is more. There is also no need to panic and rush, just doing a little bit better each day is enough. The health and wellness world is overwhelming and there is information overload. It’s easy to want to get carried away and want to try every new thing overnight but the reality is you need a solid foundation first and that starts with the simple things. As I shared above, things such as getting quality sleep, staying active, eating a nutrious whole foods diet, being in nature, managing stress, connecting with others and having a positive mindset is where true health is built. The supplements, the products, the protocols, the testing, the gadgets and tools, the subscriptions and so on are all just extras. Yes, they can be of tremendous value, but without a healthy and solid foundation, they are useless. Focus on simplifying, slowing down and being intentional and mindful of how you are filling your time. I believe knowledge is power and just becoming more aware is another huge step!

What are your dreams and goals for the future?

My biggest dreams and goals for the future are to have my own piece of paradise in the country and to see Wellrado grow and make a true impact on people.

The older I get, the more I have come to realize that a slow and simple life is where true joy lives. One day I hope to have a home surrounded by lots of space and fresh air, hopefully some animals and gardens but simply put, a place where Elsie can grow up and enjoy the world as it was meant to be by God and filled with equal parts hard work and rest. I truly feel as if there is too much in today’s society— too much go, too much rush, too much stuff, too much information, too much of everything but not enough of the real good stuff. People tend to get lost in it all and I have personally found more joy and peace the further I grow away from that path.

As for Wellrado, I truly feel that God lead me exactly where I am supposed to be. Growing up, there was a lot of things I wanted to be but never that “one thing”. I have always felt my heart pulled in many directions. I have always had an entrepreneurial heart and have always needed a creative outlet but have also always had a strong desire to help others. It has been on an ongoing journey, as it is for most, of finding my place. Looking back at the last 15, 10 and especially 5 years of my life, it’s apparent that everything was leading me to this. Jordan and I always talk about how God placed each other in our lives so perfectly and that we were truly meant for this. While we have so many exciting goals and dreams for Wellrado that I pray come to fruition, my biggest goal is to make a difference. I am incredibly passionate and feel as if I have found my purpose in life and whether it’s directly impacting someone’s health, leading them to God, or simply inspiring them to build a more joyful and healthy life, I just want to leave a positive impact. I have felt the heaviness of how short life can be and just want others to get the most out of their own lives.

Fun Facts About Me

  1. I don’t watch TV anymore and don’t miss it at all (and I used to be a big TV person)! Last year I decided it was a waste of my money and time and deleted all of our apps and subscriptions besides what we get for free. We now only have 1 TV in our house that rarely gets turned on.

  2. I have been skydiving before— and am considering doing it one more time.

  3. In college I double majored in psychology and sociology and originally had plans to go to grad school and become a counselor.

  4. Before Wellrado, I owned my own clothing boutique, Tenth & Mae. I had an online store as well as a storefront! I loved every minute of it and met so many great people because of it but am happy where things have lead me.

  5. I am equal parts introverted and extroverted. I am very social and typically have a filled calendar, have a lot of friends, love to be involved in our community and enjoy being around others but at the same time— if my social battery is drained, I will become a homebody and can have a tendency to shut everyone off around me until I’m recharged. My sweet spot is one on one time with people. I love talking and connecting with others on a deeper and personal level and enjoy getting true quality time together; I always make it a priority to have a couple “friend” dates penciled into my week.

  6. I’ve always had a passion for writing and find it to be very therapeutic.
